Mission
The California Chapter of the American Association of
Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) is a professional
medical organization devoted to the enhancement of the
practice of clinical endocrinology.
Goals
• To maintain a society of
qualified medical, pediatric, reproductive and surgical
endocrinologists who coordinate their efforts to further
the practice of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
• To utilize the highest
standards of practice in endocrinology, providing
education for endocrinologists, other physicians and
patients to help achieve this goal.
• To advocate the necessary
changes to benefit patients and endocrinologists, and to
keep abreast of important aspects of scientific,
economic, social and political factors impacting the
practice of clinical endocrinology.
• To work with AACE and other
professional organizations to enhance the field of
endocrinology for the patient and physician.
Organizational
Overview
Members of California AACE are physicians with special
education, training and interest in the practice of
clinical endocrinology. These physicians devote a
significant part of their career to the evaluation and
management of patients with endocrine disease. All
members of AACE are physicians (M.D. or D.O.) and a
majority is certified by Boards recognized by the
American Board of Medical Specialties. Members of AACE
are recognized clinicians, educators and scientists,
many of whom are affiliated with medical schools and
universities. Members of AACE contribute on a regular
and continuing basis to the scientific literature on
endocrine diseases and conduct medical education
programs on this subject. |
